Launched the Coco Palms print which put us on the map in Hawaiʻi and remains our #1 best selling beach bag

Quit our day jobs, hired our first employee, and booked it to Europe for 2 months

Meet The Founders
ALOHA Collection isn't just about travel bags, it's about the journeys they inspire. Founded in 2014 by Rachael Leinaʻala Soares, a flight attendant, and Heather Aiu, a Kauaʻi native, the brand began with a shared dream, a single bag, and a Kickstarter campaign. From roommates to best friends and thriving business partners, Heather and Rachael's journey is a true match made in paradise. Their diverse backgrounds and shared passions for travel, adventure, and the ocean fueled the creation of ALOHA Collection in 2014. Celebrating a decade together, they've not only expanded into a globally known brand but they've also built an international ʻohana–one bag, one smile, one person at a time.

In Hawaiian, mālama ʻāina means to take care of the land. We donate 5% of profits to Hawaiʻi-based conservation organizations annually as a way of giving back to the community and to help preserve the cultural heritage and natural beauty of our home.
