ALOHA x Hawaiian Airlines heritage collection takes flight from an era gone by and steps into the world of the modern travelerâall with an engaging and timeless style inspired by the Hawaiian Airlines flight attendant.
In 1929, Hawaiian Airlines took to the skies under its forerunner, Inter-Island Airways. The airlineâs first inter-island scheduled service began on November 11, 1929 with a flight from Honolulu to Hilo, via intermediary stops on Molokai and Maui.
By the 1970s, a cultural movement ignited a newfound interest and pride in the rights, history, and culture of Native Hawaiians â marking a period of change in the islands. In the air, waves of visitors flocked to the state and Hawaiian Airlines introduced its beloved Pualani, flower of the sky, logo.
Inspired by the iconic 1970's HAWAIIAN and Pualani logos, this special edition ALOHA x Hawaiian Airlines 95th Anniversary Collection celebrates 95 Years of Aloha with a fresh trip into heritage designs.
As a true testament to the brandâs ideals, Hawaiian Airlines made history having the first all-female crew to operate a certified scheduled U.S. air carrier in 1979.
The 11-piece collection features vintage takes on ALOHA Collection fan-favorite accessories. A new aviation-inspired style called the Flight Bag honors the 1970s era of the Hawaiian Airlinesâ brand, which in 1973 introduced a montage of warm, sunrise-hues and the first iteration of Hawaiianâs iconic Pualani, a distinct symbol of the carrierâs history and one of the few feminine figures to front an airline.
